Linqu's prescription pickup locker addresses each of those problems. The pharmacist fills the prescription, places it in the locker, the patient receives an SMS pickup code plus an optional second-factor (date of birth, last 4 of insurance ID, or pharmacy member number), and they collect at any hour. No more queueing at the counter for a quick pickup.

Multi-Factor Identity Verification

Configurable verification levels match the regulatory profile of the medication:

• Standard prescriptions — SMS pickup code (6-digit, single-use, expires in 7 days)
• Repeat scripts — SMS code + last 4 digits of phone number
• Higher-risk medications — SMS code + date of birth verification
• Insurance-billed pickup — SMS code + insurance member ID
• Pharmacist-flagged orders — pickup blocked until staff manually unlocks (consultation required)

Refrigerated Compartments for Cold-Chain Medications

Insulin, biologics, certain vaccines, and many specialty medications must be kept between 2-8°C. Our refrigerated module is an optional column inside the cabinet with independent temperature control, sensor-logged temperature history (24 hours of data on-screen, full history in the cloud), and out-of-range alerts to pharmacy staff via SMS and email. Cold-chain compartments meet typical retail pharmacy refrigeration audit requirements.

Workflow Built Around the Pharmacy Counter

• Pharmacist fills the prescription and tags it as "Locker Ready" in the dispensing system
• Pharmacist places the bag in the locker; the screen prompts the right compartment based on temperature requirement
• System sends SMS to the patient: pickup code, locker location, and required ID factor
• Patient enters SMS code + ID factor on the touchscreen; the door opens
• Pickup event logs to the dispensing system (date, time, compartment, temperature at pickup)

Audit Trail and Compliance Support

Every event is logged: pharmacist load, patient pickup attempts (success and failure), temperature readings every 5 minutes for cold-chain compartments, abandoned-pickup escalations, and pharmacist override events. Logs export to CSV. The system supports signed webhooks into your dispensing software for closed-loop record-keeping.
